Disaster Relief program by VFAPN
Art of Living team, conducted Trauma Relief session, gave blessings and distributed relief supplies to 101 families of ward 6 Gularia, Bardia District. Art of Living volunteer, Shristy Dhakal, based at Plan International Gularia, organized the event and invited Deputy Mayor of Gularia, ward chairman and other ward officials. The officials too participated in the trauma relief session.
Ward 6, Gularia is a mixed community of Brahmin, Tharu, Dalit and Muslim. They all participated in the trauma relief session irrespective of their caste, ethnicity or religion. The deputy mayor has invited Art of Living to conduct its session to the staff of the Municipality office.
Anupa Dhungel represented National College Kathmandu and joined the Art of Living team with instant noodles and biscuits from the college. Art of Living distributed 101 sacs of rice (2525 kg of rice), 202 kg deal, 101 litres oil and 101 packets of salt. National College provided 1 packet of noodles and 1 packet biscuits per family to 101 families. The extra biscuits and noodles were distributed to the children present at the event.
